The independent voice in car-park charging
Most of the advice a car-park operator or landowner receives about EV charging comes from someone with a stake in the answer. A charge-point operator (CPO) wants you on their network; a hardware vendor wants to sell their boxes; a generalist electrician wants the install. None of them will tell you neutrally whether you should host a fully-funded operator or own the chargers yourself — because that comparison undercuts their own pitch. That gap is exactly why we exist. We have no CPO allegiance and no single-brand tie, so we can model both routes honestly for your specific site and tell you which actually wins.
What we do
We help car-park operators, landowners, retail and shopping-centre asset managers, hotels, workplaces and local authorities plan, fund and install EV charging that earns rather than sits idle. That starts with a free desk feasibility — your bays, dwell profile, footfall and likely grid capacity — and ends with a design sized to how long cars actually park, not to the fastest charger on the shelf. Between the two we handle the grid check with your Distribution Network Operator, the grant and tax stack, planning and permitted-development questions, back-office and access control, and the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 duties that apply to any public charger.
Operator-agnostic, and we name names
Because we don't sell one network, we can compare the real CPOs a car park would encounter — InstaVolt, Osprey, be.EV, Believ, Connected Kerb, Mer, Pod Point and others — alongside the parking operators such as Q-Park, NCP and JustPark, and tell you which host deal or hardware suits your site. We recommend OCPP-open hardware and MID-certified metering as standard, precisely so you are never locked to one vendor's back-office or billing.
How we're set up
This site is operated by SEO Dons Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company no. 16766013), a UK digital and renewables specialist, as a dedicated car-park EV-charging service. Installations are delivered by OZEV-authorised, NICEIC- or NAPIT-registered electrical contractors working to BS 7671 and the IET Code of Practice. We are a new specialist service, so you won't find us claiming a decade of installs or an invented review score — what we offer is current, honest, whole-of-market advice and delivery to the recognised UK standards, verifiable against each issuing body below.
The way we work
- Utilisation first. If your dwell time and footfall don't support a charger, we'll say so — better an honest no than a stranded asset.
- Transparent numbers. Indicative costs and revenue up front, not hidden behind a "get a quote" wall.
- Current facts. The £500/socket Workplace Charging Scheme, the 100% first-year tax allowance, the Public Charge Point Regulations — not the stale figures across the rest of the web.
- Email-first. No cold calls and no phone tag: tell us about your site online and we reply within one working day.
